A 'Brummy' born Scot (it's a long story).  My formative years began in Scotland in 1964 and then, from the age of six, in the inner suburbs of Manchester, raised my own family in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District and in 2005 moved to Suffolk, on the banks of the River Deben.

Painting is a fairly recent discovery for me, inspired by talented friends and beautiful scenery.

With no formal training, I'm just doing my own thing... play time.

My latest large canvas works have started without knowing what I'm creating, just applying colour to suit my mood and building on the colours until something takes shape.  It's all very random really.  My therapy.

I really enjoy creating a 3-dimensional effect with heavy texture where I'm literally squeezing tubes of paint directly onto the canvas.
Like applying icing to a cake.

Some of my Suffolk photographic scenes I have reproduced as greetings cards which are available at Browsers Bookshop Woodbridge in Suffolk.

I'm currently working on my Original Card Collection.  These are prints of my artwork on quality linen card.  Each card is hand-finished and signed by me.

The following are samples of my Original Card Collection.  Each card is unique, hand-finiished in acrylic and signed by me.
The top three are well-known Suffolk landmarks:  Southwold Pier, Aldeburgh Beach Lookout and Woodbridge Tide Mill.
The bottom three are taken from my latest large canvas works:  Clifftop View, Poppies and Innsbruck.
