Cachalot, gracing the Deben on 1st September 2006. This 30' gaff cutter was built in 1898 at Folkstone as a gentleman's yacht and has the honour of being listed as a Dunkirk Little Ship. Previous owners include Sir Lancelot Elphinstone (cousin of Queen Victoria) who, ironically, was taken prisoner at Dunkirk whilst his former yacht carried survivors to safety.
